I have downloaded 2 emoji apps on my IPad 2 .. Why do they not show up in my mail

Which apps did you download?

Did you enable the apps in the Keyboard Settings? After you download the apps don't you have to enable the keyboards? Settings>General>Keyboard>International Keyboards>Add new keyboard

I hope you have better success than I did with those apps. I had two of them. They both worked great until the Emoji keyboard was added to the iOS. Now I can't get any of them to work, including the preinstalled Emoji keyboard.

The built in Emoji keyboard will come up in the forum, but it doesn't appear to support the icons. Just leaves a blank?

That's what I get in iCab Mobile.... Blank spaces. Actually, they do not work for me in mail either so I just gave up on them.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, and that wouldn't surprise me, but what it is, I haven't figured out yet.

One more try using Safari now.

EDIT - back to iCab for this edit. I typed the entire first line of the Emoji keyboard and you can see what shows up. One measly icon!

Using Safari

Appears that the firm platform doesn't recognize them, using Safari or iCab. Could be they have to installed on the sever?
