For me it was stuck. So with the iphone/pad etc plugged in I was having the failings at the last step.

I got it to work by unticking "Sync this ****** over wifi" and onnly ticking"manually manage music and videos"

Maybe it gets confussed and I thought I was managing it anyway.

Anyway - that worked for me, literally did the ticks. Off it goes, now adding 1500+ tunes 🙂 😀

I also have the same problem. It takes forever, so it seems, for the sync process to complete. I unplugged from iTunes the first time, and the phone seemed to work well, but I decided this time to let it go for as long as it would take. Well, it's been probably a half hour. It indicates: "Waiting for changes to be applied." I have never experienced this problem with any of the other iPhones I've had. I welcome any suggestions. Thanks!

I have a similar problem. I get the following error message

"The Iphone xxx could not be synced because the sync session failed to start"

Worse still, the few synced songs appear greyed out and don't play. So far I can only sync music bought through the Apple store, anything uploaded via CDs or computer files does not play. Please help, am getting frustrated!!
