My Home Sharing icon closes in iTunes after I click 'done' when setting up Home Sharing. Help.

I have turned on Home Sharing on both computers, I have gone to iTunes>Preferences>sharing and enabled all of that, the Firewall on both computers are off. Both computers are using iTunes 6.1. When I sign into Home Sharing, click create home share & then click done, the Home Sharing folder on the left sidebar closes in both computers. How do I fix this?! It's so frustrating and it's been like this since I've had my itunes.
