OK, maybe I'm a dummy. Thought I'd purchased the first 30 days of AT&T 3G data plan along with my iPad2. It worked fine for the first week, but probably wasn't out of range of a WiFi network. Then, from a different location, I tried to receive email and access internet, and couldn't. When I tried to look at my data plan account via Settings, I had trouble logging in and it said I have no data plan. Do I have to subscribe to a data plan from the iPad to get started with 3G? It also didn't look like it was giving me the option of setting up a new AT&T data plan account. It was asking for an email and password, not letting me create a new account with an email and choosing a password. Can you straighten me out?
