Ipod Video 80gb sad face and spinning HDD sound can get it into disk mode but does not show up on iMac

I have a IPod Video 80gb Black and it has a sad face icon and i can hear the HDD spinning i can get it into Disk Mode but it wont show up on my IMac i dont want to replace this IPod i want to repair it and i hope Apple can still repair this IPod.

iPod classic, Other OS, can get into disk mode

The Sad Face icon is a pretty good indication of a hardware failure, usually with the Hard Drive. You'll likely need to have the iPod serviced or replaced either by Apple or a third party service center.

Google for "iPod hard drive replacement" for third party repair centers, which tend to be a bit cheaper than the Apple route.
