Dear Apple, iCloud is not working and I have no access to my emails

Dear Apple,

iCloud Mail since yesterday is not working. Not working at all!

Your statement that the iCloud is up and running is FALSE! Mail is not working at all.

Since yesterday I cannot access anyhow my emails on the iCloud account. All of a sudden even my local copy of all emails on my Mac are gone.

As I use MobileMe/iCloud since a number of years for my work, this is some gargantuan disaster for me...

I sent you a number of reports trying to access the iCloud Mail through web browser (Safari).

I am so dissapointed with this and the level of your customer care for iCloud. I tried to contact anyone and I was suggested to buy a protection plan for my Mac...

Dear Apple, just let me access all my emails - I promise to take them all and move to another cloud mail provider....

Highly dissapointed long time, multiple Apple products user....

Same happened to me today. Apple Customer Support told me that there was an error on their side where iCould thought that my mailbox storage size was larger than my iCloud storage size...

Had to reset a couple of settings, but after few hours same problem again..

Very dissappointing as i am very dependent on iCloud mail

I am in Belgium: same problem since this morning. My email sometimes works, then stops working again and this on all devices + browser access to icloud.com. I called Apple support (based in the Netherlands it seems). I was told they are aware of the problem and asked me "for a few days patience". A FEW DAYS? In what century is Apple expecting us to live? Is that the kind of support Apple expects us to accept for a PAID service? Unfortunately it is not the first time me.com or now icloud.com does not work as it should. Every time I call support I get the same answer "it should work again soon". What is even more annoying is to read on the Apple web site the statement that all services are running fine! On what planet? It is really sad that Apple does not even recognize there is a problem. Apple customers are loyal but Apple inc needs to learn there are also limits to loyalty. If I am supposed to use my icloud account for business communications then I should be able to rely on that service. Being offline for days is not an option. Wake up Apple inc.!

Same here in California. I use an iCloud address for my primary email, and it has been unable to receive on my Mac since last night. And, if I attempt to view email online at iCloud.com, I get the endless spinning gear. All my other email addresses work fine. It is Apple that can't seem to do basic email right.

Reporting in from London: icloud mail has been a big problem for me for several days on ALL devices, brand new, $3,000 Macbook Pro; iMac desktop and brand, spanking new iPhone 4S. Cannot get mail on any of them. Same issues as happened with Mobile Me, when I used to pay for it.

As of 16:30 GMT, status from Apple reads 1% of us are effected, but I believe it to be much higher.

I have already decided, with my latest purchases, after 25 years with Apple and Apple alone, I will be leaving them, bit-by-bit from here on out. They show utter disregard for their customers. And truthfully, with Lion, I am no longer a fan of their operating system. It has become increasingly intrusive, making all sorts of wrong assumptions.

Urging, nay, insisting we all join The Cloud is one more step towards Big Brotherhood I'm going to pass on. Apple deserves to lose it's loyal customer base for failing us on some many levels.
