HP Duplex Up Side Down

I had an HP Officejet 8500 Premium connected with my previous PC. It didn't work perfect, but the duplex was ok.

I now have a new iMac. Some quality issues persisted and another one came up. Duplex printing put the reverse print up side down.

Together, these issues prompted HP to replace the printer with an 8600 which they said would work much better with OSXLion. Well, the quality is better, but the opposite side on duplex is still upsidedown. Their escalated support person says it is now out of their hands and it is an Apple issue.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
