AppleIDAuthAgent appears after 10.7.4

AppleIDAuthAgent appears after 10.7.4

After upgrading to OS 10.7.4, upon restart a dialog log appears: "AppleIDAuthAgent wants to use the "login" keychange." I enter password.

On subsequent retarts the dialog box appears and does one of two things. It shows dialog box again and stays on screen until I input password or select cancel button OR the dialog box will flash on screen of about 5 seconds and closes itself. I don't recall ever seeing this dialog box in previous upgrades.

Is there a bug in 10.7.4?

If you're seeing it, then it's a bug. File a bug reportwith Apple.

We had the same problem here after the upgrade to 10.7.4. Here's what resolved the issue:

Logged-in as root user
Applications->Utilities->Keychain Access->Preferences
Reset Default Keychain
Reboot

I actually ran into one problem with this, "Reset" failed with an "Could not obtain authorization for this opperation" error and left me w/o a login keychain (If you encounter this, please report this bug also); however, running "Keychain First Aid" fixed that.

I was concerned about resetting the default keychain, so i didn't. But logging in as Root and then logging back in to my main user account seems to have stopped the dialog box from appearing upon restart.
