Since I purchased my Time Capsule, I have not been able to back up my mac. The backup process begins but it says it will take 2 days. 2 days later it is frozen and it never finishes. I gave up
This will obviously depend on how much it has to back up - and the first always takes longer.
I have just posted that my TC reported it would take over 3 million days! I have had similar problems with 2 days and then no finish
Are you using a flash drive in your MBP?
No I am not using a Flashdrive. I am only using the Time Capsule and wirelessly attempting to back up 180 GB my MacBook Pro.
You should always do the first backup with ethernet.. turn off the wireless.
Once you have the first backup done you can go back to wireless as the incremental backups are small. But wireless speed is too slow and to many errors which force the files to keep having to be resent.
How long should I expect my Time Capsule to take to back up my MacBook Pro for the first time?
