I am curious to know if anyone has seen this particular bug. When you have a window open in List View, scroll to the middle of the list and then copy a file from another location into that window. When the copy completes the destination window pops to the top of the list, losing your previous focus in that window.
Does anyone else see this issue?

Yes it happens with me as well. Unless you highlight some file near where you are looking, after the file transfer it bounces back up to the top again. Drives me nuts. I'm searching to see if this can be turned off as I thought it might be some new feature.

I should mention I'm using the "List" view with "Name" to sort. So if you are adding some file down the bottom of a long list and it always jumps to "A" at the top after transfer it can be a pain in the butt.
Happened in Lion and now in Mountain Lion. Didn't do it in Leopard, I don't know about Snow Leopard as I didn't have it.
Yes! In Lion and Mountain Lion. Move or create an alias - no problem. It only happens with Copy. I certainly don't remember it happening with Leopard.
Apparently someone has already submitted this as a bug to Apple. Oh well.
