Add Hyperlink - Keyboard shortcut?

I use the Add Hyperlink function very often.

Is there a keyboard shorcut (or button) to insert hyperlinks after selecting some text?

I haven't discovered one.

As you may know, hyperlinks are a new feature introduced in Tiger Mail. I'd suggest sending feedback to Apple about making hyperlinks more user friendly. I'll do the same.

As an aside, I have found they are not 100 percent reliable. Others receiving mail from me report at times the link is not "active". Haven't spent the time yet trying to figure out why this is happening. Plan to do so in a few days.

The path of discovery....success

This is what I discovered -

While composing a message, if I want to create a hyperlink around a word or phrase, highlight the word, then right-click to the contextual menu. Select "edit link" and the hyperlink box appears.

Maybe Apple responded to your suggestion a lot faster than anything I understand. 😉

Hope this helps.

Glad it worked.

As I've looked into the hyperlink question, it seems others have had problems sending active links to recipients using MS Outlook. Seems Outlook doesn't know how to handle them. I'll continue to search the forum for more information. Amazing how challenging it can be sending something apparently quite simple.

Please mark this thread "solved" so others know your question has been successfully addressed. Thanks
