The new ios 5.1.1 has made my 3gs useless i am having to chrge it every 3 hours, I have done the reset and drained the battery etc but nothing has helped. When is apple going to address this problem rather than burying their head in the sand!

no problem. Have you tried restoring your phone as new? Are you using an exchange account for email? I've read if you delete the exchange account and readd it, it has help with the battery life.
I restored it at 2.30 this afternoon I then drained the battery to 0 then charged it to 100% and left it for 3 hours I started to use my phone at 8pm and its now 23.50 and battery life is 42%. I do not have an exchange account ive switched off blue tooth turned down screen brightness shut down anything i use . I cant use any apps as it drains to quick my phone is relatively useless. It has been using 10% per hour whilst i sleep and in standby!!!
Help Before the update I had to charge it once a day before bed and it never went below 50%
