What is the latest version of Mac OS X that supports OS 9?

Hey guys,

What is the latest version of Mac OS X that supports OS 9 environment (and 'background') running and Hard Disk partitioning (for any obscure OS 9-only applications that I might like to run)?

ANY information would be MUCH-appreciated!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), RSVP ASAP (Thanks)!

Mac OS X 10.4.11 is the last version which supports Classic. The ability to boot Mac OS 9 is determined by the computer's hardware and not the installed Mac OS X version(if any).

All Mac OS X versions can partition a drive, but Mac OS X 10.4.11 and earlier require erasing it in the process.
