C-Media USB Headset, not working all of a sudden
As the owner of the older Power PC based mac, I was forced to go out and buy a USB adapter (
http://tekgems.com/Products/et-14120-ada-he-280b.htm) to plug in my heaset's microphone. It worked fine in the beginning but all of a sudden (probably after downloading some OS updates from Apple) the speaker has just stopped letting any sound through even though the mic works perfectly.
I have checked the headset on other computers to see that its not a problem with the hardware. I also verified in the Audio MIDI Setup Utility to check if the right frequency (44K) was selected. I am now completely lost and have no way of proceeding because I just can't find a place on the internet that supplies a driver for the device for the Mac OS X. Please let me know how I could possibly get this to work.
Thanks for your help.
