May 11, 2012 11:03 PM in response to alenwornby King_Penguin,How did the photos get onto the card ? If you copied them onto it via your computer then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them

May 12, 2012 7:37 AM in response to King_Penguinby alenworn,OK i did that. I created a folder DCIM and put some photos under it. The file names are 8 characters long. the extension is a sequential number the camera apparently assigns.
Nothing happens still
Questions
Does the DCIM folder have to be the only folder in the root director?
Do the file names have any restrictions on characters?

May 12, 2012 7:38 AM in response to Texas Mac Manby alenworn,I did, the Photo screen comes up indicating it senses the CCK but it cant find any photos on the SD card thats in the CCK. Also when I try the USB option the response on the screen is the device requires too much power or something like that.

May 13, 2012 5:32 AM in response to alenwornby alenworn,OK guys it worked when I hooked the CCK up to the camera itself via the USB. Pulled pictures right in from the camera.
However I still CANT get the CCK to read the SD cards directly using the SD adapter. Must be some format issue on the SD cards.
the camera uses a "XD picture card"
