What precautions should I take before replacing ram

I still have original RAM in my G5, but have just received 2 x 1GB replacements. Do I need to take any precautions before replacing the RAM?

To prevent static electricity buildup, good idea not to do it on a very low humidity day. Humid day would be the best. Touch the Mac's metal chassis before installing or going near the RAM. Maybe overkill, but I use an anti-static wrist strap with one end clipped to the chassis or outside metal frame of the computer. If you're in the US, I think Radio Shack might still have them, although I bought mine back in 2008.
