Q: ipod 5th generation is working but no sound comes out from it - on phones,bose dock or car system

Despite doing the 5 Rs there's no sound coming from my 5th generation iPod. I can see everything working ok but no sound thro headphones, bose dock or through car sereo. Any ideas how to get it back?

    Not without having it repaired or serviced either by Apple or a third party repair company.  Since the device doesn't output sound via the headphone jack or dock connector, it's like an issue with the iPod's logic board.
