Aperture keeps closing down when I am adjusting pictures ie skin smoothing, cloning, blurring etc. I have been re-opening and it works again but now it doesnot seem to be making the adjustments

I'm having the same issue Grace. And apparantly so are a good deal of other users who mistakenly have upgraded to Aperture 3.2.3. I've been relying on this app for my business. Now I'm spending my day off reading thread after thread of dissatisfied customers who are banging their heads against the wall trying to run repairs or downgrade to get back to work with no real sign of assistance. The scary thing is that I just upgraded yesterday (when Aperture became virtually unusable) and I'm looking at posts describing the same nonsense I'm dealing with from last month.

Hello Apple- perhaps removing the upgrade for a time AND posting some advice for the rest of us who are now stuck might be nice. thanks!

What Repair steps have you taken to fix this? I tried but mine would not crash or freeze.

Safe boot mode? Dump caches and plists? Rebuild lib? Does it happen on all images or just some?

it's happening with all images across the board depending on how much or how long I use a brush.

@Grace - Good suggestion using Portrature... I'll be working outside of AP3 until this gets hammered out. Hopefully soon... for all of us actually having issues.

I've been running into the same issue. Unfortunately, I don't have the option of using other software to continue editing in. Aperture doesn't crash when I do brush edits but it still makes it annoyingly slow and tedious. My screen just fills with a garbled preview when I am making these edits.
