Thanks for sharing! In order to transfer text messages from Android to iPhone, you can refer to this introduction: Move content manually from your Android device to your iOS device - Apple Support

On the other hand, you can have a look on Mobile Transfer which can also transfer data between iOS and Android but it needs to connect two devices to the PC and as for the Android phone, you should enable USB debugging on the device and it allows to transfer SMS, contacts, videos, photos, music, etc. If you have backed your Android, you can use the backup files to migrate to iPhone.

How do I transfer my contact list from my iPhone to my sim so that I can put it in another phone.

You could use a program like TxtArchive on the Android to transfer the texts via email. This would give her a record of them which she could view in her email or other program that will read text files. I used TxtArchive on all my Android phones for backing up messages. I'm sure there are other programs but it's one I've used and been happy with.

Best of luck.

I downloaded TxtArchive but I do not see how to transfer the text messages via email.

I archived the messages and exported them but where are they? I don't see any file on the Android phone directory (either internal memory or SD card).

And I don't see any option within the TxtArchive app to actually transfer the exported/archived test messages to email.
