Can I use Safari to send and receive email through a Gmail

My new employer uses Gmail as there email serves. It is a Japanese company and when I log into Gmail, even using the translator, most of the controls and text is still in Japanese.

Can I use Safari (like I do with other accounts) to send and receive email via googles email servers?

I assume I need googles send and receive server info (IMAP or POP)?

Can someone help with this?

You can only do this in Safari by going to GMails webmail site. You can set GMail up in the Mail application. You can't use iCloud to check GMail or any other account.

GMail settings:

POP: pop.gmail.com , in 'Advanced', use SSL, Port 995, Authentication 'Password'.

SMTP: smtp.gmail.com , use SSL, select 'Use default ports', Authentication 'Password'.
