Macbook Pro 17" firewire 800 power

I have an early 2011 17" Macbook Pro laptop. I would like to purchase an ImagingSource CCD camera that has a firewire 400 connection.I plan on connecting it to the firewire 800 connection on the laptop via a 6 pin to 9 pin cable.

The question is: Will the firewire 800 connection supply power to the camera via the 6 pin to 9 pin cable when the laptop is running on battery power
