My iPhone 4 was stolen yesterday. I used Find my iPhone and it was located. After sending several signals and messages and never received an answer from the person who have it I decided to wipe meu iPhone to protect mt ID. The action is still pending. What else should I do from here?

There isn't much you can do, honestly. You're quite lucky to have been able to locate the device...see if you can still track it down.

The thing is that I wiped my iPhone and although the action is still pending I cannot send any more messages or signals...
Did you happen to write down the address when you were able to track it? That would've been a good idea. The wipe will take effect when the phone is connected to the Internet. Log in at http://icloud.com and see if it can still be located.
It is possible that between your detecting the phone and then trying to wipe it, the phone lost contact. Alternatively the finder recovered the phone, in the process wiping the phone for you.
