ipod set to shuffle
i have 1300 songs on ipod set to shuffle it dose 110 songs then starts again playing same 110 songs
iPod nano, 6 gen
Should have added why dose it start replaing instead of shuffling the rest of the songs

When you open the music app, which category of music are you choosing? Album, playlist, etc?

play list which is also the full content of the ipod,
i use a play list to control my data base on the pc so i can control play count and up load a random set of songs since my whole data base dose not fit on my nano. This way a play all of my music
So you cannot sync your entire music library to your Nano, but you do sync a playlist or 1,300 songs or does the playlist only have 110 songs as seems to be indicated during playback?
Something doesn't seem quite right here. It sounds like you are only playing a playlist that contains 110 songs versus Shuffling your iPod's entire music library, which doesn't contain all the music in your iTunes library.

when play list is vied on ipod at the main menu it has 1386 on it right now
when viewing on the computer it shows same 1386 but 82 songs played 1 time and 2 songs played twice
as of right now there are 1302 songs on ipod as shown by computer and ipod playlist all with the same play count
just created a new play list added 5 songs sent it to ipod selected play list and hit shuffle
all five played one time then ipod stoped like it should.
going to erase old play list and creat a new one to see if shome how it has somthing to do with the old play list
fyi I create my play list on the computer then send to ipod

now the total is 109 played 5 repeated once out of 1500+ songs
Have you considered doing a full restore of the device in iTunes to help rule out a possible software issue. Something still just isn't quite right here and I cannot figure out the missing piece.

This is a new ipod but yes when i got it as part of the excahnge for my ipod nano 1 Ihooked it up to itunes to make sure it was the latest software.
Also have done reboot of the device
has no one else had this issue or have they just not realised it
As of today 158 played 10 played twice and one played three times
how dose the ipod determin which song to choose in a random shuffel it can't be the play count

Of course, the key words there being, "should have no affect." It doesn't hurt to at least try to temporarily use your iPod with iTunes.

Ok tring itunes so far no repetes but new strange thing happing songs are being cut of before they finish plaing this has happen to at least ten songs,
checked songs in editor to see if they got cliped some how but they are fine song also plays fine on computer in itunes but on ipod cuts off with about a minute and 20 secounds left
this is an ipod that was sawped out for my first gen ipod by apple looks like they are useing referbished units and not neww ones
Were where these songs from originally? The iTunes store or were they imported from outside of iTunes?
