Hi guys,

I've just been having some trouble with my mid-2010 15" 2.4GHz i5 MBP, and was wondering what advice anyone could offer me.

Recently has my charger been playing up, with the light not coming on sometimes, but it hasn't been a big deal. However, only today would the light not come on at all even after removing it and replacing it again.

Then, only just now, I managed to finally get the charger light to come on only for my MBP to suddenly lose power (despite being 90% charger) and shut down. I managed to switch it back on, but when it finally booted up (note that I have 8GB RAM, if that makes a difference?) the system clock had reset and my WiFi network wasn't recognised.

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or whether anyone could offer me some advice on what action I could take? I purchase my laptop through a generous bursary scheme with my university, and it came with a 3 year extended warranty which still has another year left. Would you recommend I take my laptop and charger in to my local Apple store and see what they say? I think I'll have to anyway as my charger doesn't seem to want to work still /:
