Jun 12, 2012 5:57 PM in response to Palmer042669by VJnet,I had same problem and found out that I had to enter my Apple ID info for the Music App separately. On the iPad, go to Settings > Music. Then enter your Apple ID and password. The shared libraies should be avalable in the Music and Video Apps in the More section on the bottom. Hope that works for you. If not Here's a link to tips on how to connect the iPad to home sharing if you're still having trouble http://ipadinsight.com/ipad-tips-tricks/ipad-tips-how-to-use-home-sharing-to-sha re-your-whole-itunes-music-library-to-the-ipad

Jun 19, 2012 5:00 PM in response to Palmer042669by Pelics,I have the same issue as Palmer. Home Sharing is working successfully on all my other devices, including my iPhone. However, clicking on More on the iPad 3 does not bring up the shared option. All other settings are correct. Any further advice would be appreciated.

Jun 19, 2012 5:19 PM in response to Pelicsby Demo,You enabled home sharing in the Setrings for Music and for Videos and you do not see the Shared option in the Music app or in the videos app?
Have you tried Quitting the music app and then restart the iPad?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Jul 5, 2012 8:40 AM in response to JBKemeby Demo,If you are sure that you have home sharing set up correctly on the iPad in Settings>Music>Home Sharing and in Settings>Videos>Home Sharing and also in iTunes on your computer -Advanced>Turn on Home Sharing and in the Preferences window you have gone to Sharing>Share my library .....
Try singing out of your account on the iPad, restart and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID .... tap your ID and sign out, restart and then sign in again.

Jul 5, 2012 8:55 AM in response to JBKemeby Liquid Rhino,Assuming you've entered your username/pass under both iPad's Settings>Music AND Setup a Home Share in ITunes ( Advanced >Turn on Home Sharing), the More option should show Shared. Note that in some instances (this has occured to me as well), this may take a restart of the Music app to work correctly, as Demo's comment points out. Restarting the iPad shouldn't be necessary, but can't hurt.
Refer to Page 89 - Home Sharing in the Ipad User Guide for iOS v5.1
*One last note, make sure your WIFI network allows BOTH devices to see each other, or Home Sharing may not work/show up correctly. (This happened to me early on when I noticed that I had my Macbook on my Airport Extreme's main WIFI network but my iPad on the Guest WIFI Network as it's primary. Once both devices were on the same network it worked like a charm.)
Hope this helps.
