May 13, 2012 6:30 AM in response to Free Adamby planb77,Have you left it to charge for at least 30 minutes at a minimum and then tried to power it on via the reset method? To reset it, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear after first checking to make sure the hold switch is not activated.
How are you charging the device? Via a USB port on your PC or Mac or an outlet in the wall?
This may or may not work the first time around, so don't be afraid to try this at least 3 times or so for good measure. If still no luck, it's a likely sign of a hardware malfunction, meaning you'll need to have your iPod serviced or replaced by Apple or a third party service center.
