SSD (Crucial) upgrade shortens battery life

Guys I need help.

I have a mid-2009 MBP. Original hard drive started to show problems (alerted by Disk Utility) so I swapped it myself for a Crucial 256 M4 SSD. I am running the latest Lion OS. Blazingly fast. Totally transformed my MBP - why buy a new one? But one serious problem. Battery life is down to about 1-2 hours. Even on sleep, the battery drains away. I put in a new batttery about 2 months before I swapped the drive so I don't think it can be a battery problem.

Any ideas?
