iPod Nano 1st Generation Replacement Program

6th generation, silver, 8GB. As a reminder, don't send in any accessories, i.e. headphones, just the iPod.

For the replacement program, they have always sent out 6th gens as far as I know. If have no clue if/when they would run out, but I would imagine they wouldn't run out.

Apple was quickly depleted of it's initial 1G Nano supply they had and were using to replace the hazardous ones that qualified for the recall.

Hurry up and send it! I dropped off my 1G nano (with a slight pang of sadness) at a nearby FedEx handler in the packaging Apple provided last Friday. One week later, my 6G nano has arrived and it's great, of course. Kudos to Apple for this impressive replacement program.

You cannot. They will only give you a silver 8 GB 6G Nano.

sent mine off 11-05-12 recieved the replacement 21-05-12, so a pretty quick turn around

yes, mine was a 4GB

Yep that's what they are replacing all recalled 1G Nanos with now.
