I assume that you are asking about available storage space.... And it should be about 14GB or so, after you account for the storage space that the iOS and the preinstalled apps have taken up.

Memory is RAM, not disk space or storage space.

New iPad has 1GB of RAM.

It's enough for about 20 songs, 10-15 tv shows, hundreds of e-books, and believe it or not 50-70 apps.
