iPad and iPhone 4S iCloud collision

I bought the new 32 gig Wi-Fi plus 4g recently. Hi restored From my existing iCloud backup from the iPhone and it gave me all the data back. My point is what if now if I download applications in the iPad so is it going to backup in iCloud that I have for the iPhone or is it going to be two separate backups one for the iPhone n the other one for iPad or is there any other way. Pls suggest.
