Q: I cannot insert CD or DVD into iMac 27"

Two days ago I listened to an audio CD. It played and ejected fine, but now I cannot insert a disk. I have restarted and also unplugged and restarted, but no luck. Disk utility shows the drive, but says it is waiting for me to insert a disk which I can't do. (27" Intel iMac, i3 proc, ident: iMac11,3, Sys: 10.6.8)

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Thanks Jossi. This worked for me!

I don't use the superdrive that often anymore and probably did't use it after I upgraded my iMac with an SSD drive. So my first thought was that I broke it wile upgrading (SSD is behind superdrive and it's a tight fit).

The CD didn't go in until a bit more then half. I checked with a piece of cardboard and it felt like the kindle (?) of the CD drive was out. I'm not sure if this happens with a slot in drive...

Anyway. Pushing the CD in didn't go. drutil eject made a little sound, but no click. Then your tip by pushing gently did it!

The Terminal is in the Utilities folder.
