what is the best program for DVD ripper?

I would like to convert all my favorite DVD to ipad and iphone

iMac, iOS 5.0.1

Are you referring to commercial DVD movies, if so sorry that's something we can't really discuss as it's technically illegal. However that being said Google "Handbrake."

Yes they are per the studios (read the fine print on the DVD cases) however this is a contentious issue for a number of reasons.
