Anyone having problems with emails from i cloud today?

I have an email address that ends in "me.com" as an iCloud Imap address in Mail and I'm not getting any of my mail this morning. I have tried to take the account 'offline' and then put it back 'online' ( which has worked in the past ) but not today.


I am logged into iCloud, and did the mobile me transfer of accounts months ago, so I am wondering:

1. Do I need to change any settings for my mac address ( change from "me.com" to another address?

2. Is there a general problem with iCloud mail today I am not aware of ?


My incoming mail server is : p04-imap.mail.me.com with SSL: ON

My outgong mail server is: p04-smtp.mail.me.com with SSL: ON


These settings were automatically configured when I set the mail account up originally.


Any help would be appreciated

Same problem here on all our Macs, iPhones and iPads.

Sending mail seems to work, but takes ages. Getting mail over the Mail app on Lion or iOS 5 failes. Same for the webapp on icloud.com. The webapp failes after a while and ask permision to send a bug report to apple. The server ips (p04-impa....) are reachable, so its not a connectivity issue.

Apple care support hotline came up with a lot b. answers. In the the guy suggested to contact dev support for customer problems like this. o.O


Apple has clear a technical problem with iCloud and a quality problem with their german support.

Im going to use a different mail account till this works again and would recomend you to do the same.

I don't think it has anything to do with settings; it's just down. I've had sporadic problems this morning just like everyone else commenting on this forum. The few emails I've gotten out have taken forever even though I'm on a fast connection and the web works fine. We'll see. I do wish Apple was more aggressive on highlighting system issues on their support page rather than have everyone try to guess what the problem is.

I'm in London, UK.

Mail is not working for me on any device; Mac, iPhone, iCloud.com.

Worryingly all my mailboxes have dissapeared on my Mac too - seriously hope they pop back up once Apple fixes their issues.

Apple also say all their services are online on the iCloud system status page - common Apple, this is obviously afecting a lot of people, at least let us know what is going on.
