10.7.4 - image capture - "import to" does not allow to select a program

Hi,

after updating to 10.7.4 the Image Capture Application does not allow to select a program to import to.

When Image Capture shows the pictures of my iPhone I select some pictures and go to "Import To Other".

That will open the "Open" dialog with all Programs/Applications on my Mac, but all Programs/Applications are grayed out.

Until 10.7.3 one was able to select any program to send the pictures to it like Evernote, ExifRenamer, etc.

Anyone else has the same issue?

Regards, Carsten

Unfortunately Mountain Lion has the same behaivor and has removed my existing settings from Image Capture at all, so that I cannot import new pictures into ExifRenamer.

Now I have to import to an import folder and call ExifRenamer later to process on this folder.

One unneccesary step more in my workflow.

Ok, so I found a work-around. If you open Automator, you can choose to create a new "Image Capture Plugin".

The only thing you need to add to the workflow is the "Open Finder Items" action from within the File & Folders grouping. Once you have added this action to the workflow, then you can select the application you want to send the images to in the "Open with:" dropdown box.

Then save, restart Image Capture, and you should be able to select your new plugin in the Import To: dropdown box within Image Capture
