calender inconsistences

I have had sync issues with my phone, I am using 5.1.1 do I need to download this configuration profile. Acctually my 3G provider is weak (or has some weak spots) where the phone things that it has connection but (I am guessing) the push message of a new calendar entry never reaches the phone. So I believe that if I engrease to a couple of thousant seconds the timeout I can resolve this issue. Please provide me more information on this issue or anything alse that could cause sync inconsistences.
