airport network configure wds

I AIRPORT exstreme of a fourth generation and I can not create a network to WDS

Can anyone help me?

firmware 7.6.1

AirPort Utility 5.6 installed and Airport Utility 6.0

With version 6.0 there is no way perconfigurare a WDS network

Using version 5.6 I can configure my old Airport in the first and second generation asthe main WDS but that is the fourth generation can not understand how it works?

I hope that this important function has not been eliminated.

Creating a WDS has not been eliminated but Apple has hidden the feature in recent AirPort Base Stations. Try holding an option key when selecting "wireless mode" in the following:

It can also be frustrating to configure. Read the following KB article.

menu I only create a new wireless network and extend a network.

there to be partecipate of a WDS network as in the old airport Extreme first and second generation

Hold the option key when selecting "wireless mode". The screenshot I attached was from a fifth generation Extreme, so it should work with your fourth.

If "Participate in a WDS network" does not appear as a choice in "Wireless Mode" then "hard reset" the Extreme and configure it again:
