I have a black iPhone, but i love the white one. Can i change the black iPhone to white iPhone ?

YES. you can replace the LCD & back with the white housing. They sell on Amazon for around $40
its an iphone 4...who cares about the warranty. esp since 5 will be out in a few months. the iphone 4 is basically the iphone 3gs at this point. BUT, what you're stating isn't even accurate. Apple will swap the color as well for you but it will cost you more than $40.

If Apple were to do it, it wouldn't void the warranty. It's the doing it yourself part that voids the warranty.
Paint is the only solution I can think of.

No. You could sell yours and get a white one, wait for the next iPhone and get a white one, or send yours to someplace like Colorware and have them paint it.
Which will immediately void the warranty.
They could have bought it as recently as last week, or have AppleCare.
They may not be able to upgrade yet.
