ram upgrade assistance

hi, so I recently bought Corsair 8gb ram to upgrade my iMac's 4gb.

I currently have 2 pieces 4gb on 2 slots, Is it possible for me to use my "default" 4gb (2 pcs 2gb) to add my 8gb so it will become 12gb?

both are 1333mhz. not sure if I'm gonna get issues with it or not.. Thanks in advance!

Since you have open memory slots you can add the new 8GB of RAM to the 4GB already in your system so that you will have 12 GB total. You system will officially support up to a maximum of 16GB. For more information refer to:

I have 12GB in my 27-inch iMac and it works great.
