I've been using an HDMI cable to connect my macbook pro to a LG TV. I haven't used it in couple of weeks, the cable seems fine but when I connect it to the TV it says NO SIGNAL. Any help? I've tried restarting the computer, turning it off and back on with the cable plugged...

Have you tried to change to a different input on the TV?
Have you by any chance updated to 10.7.4 where it was working prior with 10.7.3?
I see your profile says 10.7.3 but everyone does not necessarily keep that current.
Yes, I did try with a different input on the TV... and Yes i do have the 10.7.4 update... it did work with the 10.7.3...
and it still doesnt work 😟

I'm having a similar problem with my new Macbook Pro (retina). When connecting to an external monitor or TV via the HDMI port, all I get is a blank screen. When I tried to connect to the TV, it displayed a message about the signal being out of range. When connecting to the monitor via a HDMI-DVI adaptor, nothing appears on screen at all.
The Macbook does detect that an external monitor/TV is plugged in, as the laptop screen blinks on and off when the HDMI cable is inserted, also, the display preferences shows the external screen.
There are not many settings on the preferences, so I think I have tried every adjustment available.
Any fixes or suggestions will be much appreciated.
Anyone solved this problem? I have a latest generation ATV and a new 37" LG TV.
When the ATV is switched on the Apple logo shows up, then screen goes black, and then the LG "No signal" shows up.
Tried all 4 HDMI ports - same thing.
Checked ATV with another TV - works fine.

Any Luck on this? Just got my rMBP and I too can't get any signal via HDMI! AirPlay mirroring is fine but you can't really watch a whole film with it! (Stutters etc)
Any help would be great!
