May 15, 2012 9:32 PM in response to Kappyby Zipstrip,Do I have to unmount the drive to repair it, or something?

May 15, 2012 9:39 PM in response to Zipstripby X423424X,No. And I don't know why you cannot get the repair button enabled unless the drive is so damaged that even DU cannot handle it.
At this point I would not trust the drive and consider it failed. You're only last resort would be to try to use Disk Warrior to attempt to salvage the drive.

May 15, 2012 10:04 PM in response to Zipstripby X423424X,So what I said above still applies. I see three choices.
1. See if Disk Warrior can salvage it.
2. Assume the problem is just a damaged unfixable (by DU and maybe even DW) disk directory structure, wipe the disk clean, and reuse it to see if it is still useable.
3. Replace the drive.
