Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

safari cant find server

if i go away from my computer and it goes to sleep mode 9 times out of 10 safari wont log onto the net. i get the "safari cant find server " message. then i have to restart the computer. mind you once in awhile isnt a big deal but this is like 3 times a day. any ideas here?

imac, Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Are you using wireless? If not, disregard everything below 🙂

If so, do you give the computer a moment to connect to the wireless access point before trying to use Safari? When the computer goes to sleep, it shuts down all services, including wireless. When it wakes up, it might take a second for the computer to find the signal, log on, and then be ready for network use. The icon in the menubar will show when the signal is ready.
