ipads and downloads

I am new to ipads so bare with me. Installed itunes on windows 7 and synced with ipad 2. Configured my wireless for guest user account and accessing internet no problem. From itunes, I downloaded logmein app (free) and synced. I can see the logmein icon on the desktop but when I click I get the message "unable to download application. Logmein could not be downloaded at this time". I tried downloading another app "autocad WS" and get the same message. What am I doing wrong? Also, I noticed in the itunes "app store", viewing the ipad apps I see the downloads but (installing) is greyed out. Thanks

The only place you can get apps for the iPad is from the iTunes Store, either from your computer through iTunes or on your iPad through the App Store app. You cannot download apps any other way. You might find this helpful:

Sorry, but I don't quite understand what you're referring here. Can you describe more fully or perhaps post a screen shot?

Regards.
