kernel panic after installing 10.7.4

Hi,

Unfortunately, I've installed the latest update 10.7.4 from apple. Since I've upgraded I had 8 Kernel panics happening sometimes without even touching the macbook pro.

I'm really disappointed about this update. Do you have any ideas about this ? Will Apple provide a fix ?

that's why i haven't updated my macbook pro to 10.7.4. Do you install from delta installer or combo installer?

my suggestion is you should Install it from Combo Installer, i know it 1.4 GB in size. but it my help your problem.

I did the update with the combo. I really don't know what to do as all the kernel panics happen without any reason.

You have some audio type software installed that has the pace copy protection scheme likely back from 10.6 days that needs to either be updated or removed using their uninstaller preferred.

You can try to find these files manually and delete if the developer gives you their names and location, some may be located in the System/Library/Extensions folder if you have to remove them manually, or else you can use the free Easy Find to locate them (Spotlight won't) and remove them manually.

If you have a problem, hold the shift key down and boot the computer, that's safe mode and diables the at boot third party kernel extension files in the list above.

It's my 10th Kerne Panic. I've removed the third party softwares. Nothing changed. I never had any problem with kernel panic !!!!!! and now since 10.7.4 it's going crazy. What is wrong with this ****** update !!!!!

I don't know what's wrong but it looks like Tim Cook isn't caring anymore about Macs ! OS X Lion is the most buggy OS ever built by apple ! It slow down machines, creates unknown problems. OS X Lion is unstable !

I am afraid of the future of Macs ! Many attacks are now destined to Mac ! And now our OS, which was qualified to be the best one, is now worst than Windows ! Instead of looking for issues with OS X Lion, they create another OSX Mountain Lion which will be surely worst than Lion ! I'll never upgrade !

So let's answer you: just reinstall Snow leopard and don't upgrade ! That's the best and easiest way !

i never use snow leopard, when i buy macbook pro, it came pre-installed with lion. I read in all the forums here stating that snow leopard is the best OS. is that so? if it is, i'd be happy to downgrade my machine.

The two crashes aren't consistent. So some general things to do would be to boot from the recovery partition and use Disk Utility to repair/verify your drive (not repair permissions). Also run Apple Hardware Test to check the ram and some other hardware stuff.
