Restore Ipod touch without home button or using iTunes

Hi,

I have an ipod touch 8GB.

I've haven't used it for awhile and i forgot my password - and now the Ipod has been blocked

I would just restore it but my home button isnt working!!

So does anyone know how to restore the ipod which using iTunes or the home button?

OR

Does anyone know how to fix the home button? (its not within warranty)
