May 15, 2012 9:53 AM in response to dan_12by King_Penguin,iTunes gift cards are only valid in the country's store in which they are issued - and you need to be in a particular country in order to use its store. So if you are in Malaysia you won't be able to be able to use a US gift card. Do you know anybody in the US that you could give/sell the card to ?

Hello Daniel,
Wendy here from the iTunes Store and I will be taken over for Jamie today. Thanks for contacting me back.
I see there is a billing issue with one of your iTunes Store orders and you will be unable to resume purchasing with your iTunes Store account until this balance has been paid. The iTunes Store has been unable to verify an authorization for order MHBG3J1099. As soon as this order is paid for, you'll be able to resume re-downloading OS X Lion with your iTunes Store account.
You can redeem a gift card for more then the account owing to pay for the balance. This article explains how to purchase and redeem iTunes gifts:
iTunes Gift Options
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2736
After you redeem the gift, the unpaid balance will be deducted from the store credit balance.
I trust that this information has helped to resolve the issue Daniel. Should you require anything further, please don't hesitate to respond to this email. Take care.
Sincerely,
Wendy

nope @@@
Then you can probably just throw that gift card away, since as King Penguin said, you cannot use it yourself in Malaysia. You will have to purchase an iTunes card in Malaysia, if Apple sells them there, or use a credit card.
Regards.

May 15, 2012 12:15 PM in response to dan_12by varjak paw,If Apple does not sell iTunes cards in Malaysia, then you will have to have a credit card. As has been said already, you cannot use an iTunes card sold in another country.

May 15, 2012 12:32 PM in response to dan_12by varjak paw,★HelpfulThose messages from the iTunes Store are generic wording and do not mean that you can use another country's iTunes card. Again, and please, for the last time, you cannot use any iTunes card sold in another country. You must supply a credit card; there is no other option for you.
And there is no telephone support for the iTunes Store, so there is no one you can call regarding this issue.
