May 17, 2012 2:26 AM in response to planb77by PaulineUK,Hi. When I load music onto a playlist for example and then want to update my iPod I connect to my computer and get a screen appearing over the playlist screen saying Pauline iPod Drive E:
If I don't delete the box (Pauline iPod Drive E:) quickly enough the playlist is reshuffled without my consent and I have to manually drag all the pieces of music on that particular playlist back into their original order. Very annoying!!!
Any thoughts please?
Thanks

You see this message on the iPod's screen itself? I have never heard of such a thing...

To manually reorder the playlist again via iTunes? Do you manually add and remove content to your iPod or do you have it set up to automatically sync with your iTunes library?

May 17, 2012 6:08 AM in response to planb77by PaulineUK,No the box doesn't appear on the iPod but on and over the iTunes playlist screen on my computer.
I add music to the computer (on iTunes) then onto a particulay playlits and when I plug the iPod into the computer the Pauline iPod Drive E: screen appears on top of the playlist screen on the computer screen, which if I don't delete the Pauline iPod Drive E: overlaid box quickly enough reshuffles all my music on that particular playlist.
I have it set to automatically sync with my iTunes library I believe.
This problem never used to happen until recently and may well somehow be to do with having had my PC rebuilt a few months ago but I dont see why this should be happening and whether it's to do with the iTune set-up in some way?

May 17, 2012 6:16 AM in response to PaulineUKby planb77,It seems to be a problem with your iPod is set up to sync with your iTunes library. What options do yuou have enabled from under the iPod's Music and Summary panes in iTunes?

May 17, 2012 7:22 AM in response to PaulineUKby planb77,Thanks for the quick feedback. Would you be opposed to performing a full restore of the device in iTunes to see if that does any good?

May 17, 2012 8:23 AM in response to planb77by PaulineUK,Hi B-rock
Would be slightly nervous as I use my iPod as a work-tool. I teach Jazzercise classes professionally and would not want to jeapodise my ability to teach as it's my income. However if you think it might be the only answer than I would try I suppose.
Thanks Pauline
