What does the little blue circle mean?

What does the little blue circle in the list of item "episodes" on the main iPod page mean? Some are half filled in. Only one of the marked items in the list will SYNC. How do I get them all to load onto the iPod Nano Gen. 5?

The little blue icon indicates whether or not you have watched that particular episode. If it's blue, it means the episode is new and has NOT been viewed. A half filled in blue dot, means that you started to watch that particular episode, but did not finish it.
