Q: iTunes get confusing

Have you tried updating your iTunes?

go to itunes, help tab up top and then scroll to check update.  Then update itunes if needed.

My bad, I thought you meant iTunes on your computer.

so you don't have a purchase icon on the bottom of itunes, have you click on the more icon to see if the purchase icon is in there.

You cannot use your search button to search for music, movies, etc.?

I think what AnaMusic is trying to tell you with that link she provided is that perhaps in the iTunes Store of your country you cannot access or download stuff other than those appearing in the function buttons you do have.

You could try opening an account in another iTunes Store but you would need to have a credit card or a payment method with a billing address in that other country.
