How can I sync my husbands iPad with a different apple id with my ical?

He just got an ipad and he has a seperate Apple id, and we need to sync the address book and the ical togeher?

You can add your iCloud account to his iPad as a secondary account to his primary account (settings > mail, contacts, calendars) and enable just contacts and calendars.
