OK.
Do you have a question?
How do you fix it when your Ipod says it is disabled??
Try a search of the forums or the "More Like This" section to the right.
If your ipod is disabled it more tahn likely will tell you an amount of time until you can use it again. But if it says it's disabled without a time amount or says it needs to be connected to Itunes. Connect it to your computer open up itunes click on your ipod once it's loaded on the left had side of the screen. Then in the "Summary" tab click the restore button. If you have created a backup for it in the past you will have the option to use that back up. But if you don't have a backup then it will just be restored to factory settings. I hope this helps!!
So If iDidnt BaccUp My iPod , Everything Is Gone ?
All of your data is gone... this is what happens when a user makes the unintelligent decision to not backup their devices.
what if the ipod doesnt show up on screen
here are the steps to reset an ipod.
1. hold in home and power buttons for 5 secs, than power for 10 secs, than home button for 15 secs
2. plug into itunes. should say ipod is in recovery mode
3.click restore
it says disabled for more than 22 million minutes. How to get past that?
Your steps aren't working. What am I doing wrong?? It still says connect to itunes, then itunes says it can't connect because it is locked.
this was the best advice so far, but mine is still disabled and I tried what you said several times, but when try to connect to itunes I still get the message that the passcode is locked.
You'll have to put the iPod into recovery mode.
-Turn it off.
-Hold the home button
-Plug it in, still holding the home button
The iPod will then show the iTunes logo with a usb cable, at which point it can be restored.
That worked! Thanks so much! I think the key was to plug it in to a wall socket. I was connecting it to the computer.
THANK YOU!!! All fixed!!!! Wow it really is a New Year!
My son just disabled his iPod and I couldn't figure it out so I called apple and they were gonna charge me $19 for one month of help. I may have screamed some swear words at the lady... Thanks for the help, it worked.
